Dr. Elizabeth Goncy (she/her)

Lab Director

Associate Professor of Psychology

Clinical Psychologist

Ph.D. Clinical Psychology, Kent State University

Post-doctoral studies in Prevention Science, Virginia Commonwealth University

Dr. Goncy joined the CSU Psychology faculty in the Fall of 2016. Within her previous position at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Goncy completed a post-doctoral research fellowship and grant funded by the National Institute of Justice on adolescent dating abuse in middle school youth. Dr. Goncy is a licensed psychologist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham through the Civitan-Sparks Clinic, Alabama Children's Hospital, and the UAB Medical Center. Dr. Goncy enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, daughter Emilia, and son Oliver. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and baking.

Lilian (Lily) Killeen (she/her) B.A.

Lab Manager

Lily recently graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from Cleveland State University. She currently serves as an affiliate at the HEART during her gap year while preparing to apply to IO psychology graduate programs. Broadly her interest lies in LGBTG+ and gender identity within the work place, and work-nonwork balance.

Drew Hubbard B.A. (she/her)

Drew is a graduate student working towards her M.A. She earned her B.A. in psychology with a minor in criminology from Miami University. Her thesis focuses on the method of suicide using an archival dataset. She is interested in researching suicide, children and young adults, trauma, and emotion regulation. She plans to earn a PhD in clinical psychology and one day become a professor.

Morgan Queen B.A. (she/her)

Morgan is a graduate student working towards her M.A. in clinical psychology. She has a B.A. in psychology and a minor in leadership studies from Doane University. Her thesis focuses on the impact of mental health on criminal sentencing. Her research interests include mental health as it relates to the CJS, jury decision-making, forensic evaluations. Her goal is to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and become a forensic psychologist.

Nishka is a graduate student working towards her M.A. in clinical psychology. She has a B.S. Honors in biomedical sciences with a minor in psychology. Her thesis focuses on the impact of acculturation and stigma on South Asian anxiety. She is interested in Ethnic minorities, anxiety, sexual/gender minorities, and sex education. Her goal is to become a practicing clinical psychologist.

Kathy is a graduate student working towards her M.A. in clinical psychology. She has a B.A. in psychology from Ursuline College. Her research interests include emotional regulation and psychopathology, focusing on positively impacting the LGBTQ+ community. After graduation, Kathy intends to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology with the hopes of becoming a clinical researcher.

Her thesis is about the relationship between violent ideation and psychological distress. She is interested in Forensics, corrections, SMI, CRJ-related decision-making. Her goal is to pursue a PsyD in clinical psychology and become a forensic psychologist.

Harmeen is a graduate student working towards her M.A. in clinical psychology. She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Her thesis researches anxiety and attachment styles. Her research interests include depression, anxiety, romantic relationships, and childhood trauma. After graduating, Harmeen hopes to become a practicing clinical psychologist and pursue a PhD.

Her thesis is about emotion regulation in victims of sexual abuse. She is also interested in emotion regulation and resiliency in those who are in high-stress jobs. Her goal is to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology.
