Dr. Elizabeth Goncy (she/her)
Lab Director
Associate Professor of Psychology
Clinical Psychologist
Ph.D. Clinical Psychology, Kent State University
Post-doctoral studies in Prevention Science, Virginia Commonwealth University
Dr. Goncy joined the CSU Psychology faculty in the Fall of 2016. Within her previous position at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Goncy completed a post-doctoral research fellowship and grant funded by the National Institute of Justice on adolescent dating abuse in middle school youth. Dr. Goncy is a licensed psychologist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham through the Civitan-Sparks Clinic, Alabama Children's Hospital, and the UAB Medical Center. Dr. Goncy enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, daughter Emilia, and son Oliver. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and baking.

Clinical Psychology MA Students
Imani Allen

Imani is a graduate student working towards her M.A. in clinical psychology. She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Toledo. Her research interests include childhood trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and racial and ethnic disparities. After graduating, Imani plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and become a practicing child psychologist.
Makenna Rosin

Makenna Rosin is a second-year MA student in the Clinical Psychology program. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from CSU. Her research interests include childhood adversity, drinking behaviors, and dating violence. She is pursuing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and a career supporting adolescents with ASD and developmental disabilities. She plans to work in residential treatment settings, where she hopes to apply evidence-based interventions to improve the quality of life and long-term outcomes for the individuals she serves.
Vaishnavi Varma

Vaish is a second-year MA student in the Clinical Psychology program. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the U.A.E. Her current research interests are childhood adversity, emotion regulation, and cultural factors in predicting substance use severity. She looks forward to pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a career integrating research and clinical practice.
Elli Holland

Elli Holland is a first-year MA student in the Clinical Psychology program. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington State University. Her current research interests include resilience in adolescents and young adults and parent-child relationships.

Sarah McCartney
School Psychology Graduate Student
Sarah is a first-year student in the School Psychology program. She earned her BA in Psychology and Sociology at Cleveland State University. Her research interests focus on ADHD symptomatology and parental relationships, as well as ADHD diagnosis inequity. She plans to work as a School Psychologist and contribute to research in the field.

Kamyra Plicka
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Student
Kamyra is a first-year graduate student pursuing her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She graduated with her BA in Psychology and Sociology from Cleveland State University. Her research interests include mental health, trauma, and relationships. Kamyra's future goals include earning her Ph.D. and becoming a practicing clinical psychologist.

Annalise Kammerman (she/her)
Annalise is a fourth-year BA student in psychology. She is also minoring in neuroscience and women and gender studies. Her current research interests are sexual dating violence, reactions to trauma, pseudologia fantastica, and women’s mental health. She looks forward to pursuing a MA in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and a career integrating therapy and therapy animals.
